Process for Submission and Acceptance
1. Abstracts should be submitted online no later than Monday, July 30th for review. Morgan Montgomery, Claflin University (SC), momontgomery@claflin.edu, will chair the committee to review abstracts. Committee members are Carla Clift, Drake State Technical College (AL), Jacqueline Eldridge, Arkansas Baptist College, Elizabeth Jean Brumfield, Prairie View University (TX), Beverly Charlot, Delaware State University and Holly Smith, Spelman College (GA).
2. Authors will be notified by Monday, August 6th of the Committee’s decision. Abstracts will be judged on merit and relation to the Membership Meeting theme.

1. Participants (at least one author) must be at their poster for the entire session.
2. Flexible or sturdy poster displays of not larger than 4’x8’ (charts, photographs, diagrams, graphics, illustrations, etc.) should be visually appealing, easy to read, and clearly state its purpose. A wall will be designated for poster displays.
3. Presenters may distribute handouts, business cards, or other materials that they provide.
4. No electrical outlets will be available.
5. No product advertisements, vendor displays, etc.
6. Accepted abstracts will be included in conference program booklet.

Submission and Important Dates
Monday, July 30 - Finishline for proposal submission, including abstract.
Monday, August 6 - Authors will be notified of Committee decision.

Note that the abstract is the only way to evaluate the poster session. Make certain the abstract clearly conveys the purpose of your poster session, is well written and without grammatical and typographical errors.
